SYSTEM BOILER
A system Boiler heats a cylinder to produce hot water and normally works from tanks in your loft.
Advantages
Can provide hot water when boiler breaks down via an Immersion heater in the hot water cylinder.
Disadvantages
Higher fuel cost as you are heating a hot water cylinder weather or not you use it. Having to wait a long time for hot water if cylinder is cold. Takes up lots of space with hot water cylinder and tanks in loft.
Many people are converting their heating over to a combi boiler as there is large savings in fuel cost to be made.
